Raman founded SoftBank�s India solar arm in 2015. 9.4 Gigawatts are currently in<br>operation and under construction in India and the US, which places SB Energy<br>among the largest solar developers globally.<br>Raman has been advising and helping manage SoftBank�s global energy<br>investments since 2011, when it was first established. Before SoftBank, in 2008,<br>he set up his own solar company to develop grid- scale solar projects in India.<br>Prior to developing solar plants, Raman worked in New York, first at McKinsey<br>&amp; Co (01-05), implementing strategic plans and restructuring operations for<br>Fortune 100 companies. He then joined Acumen Fund in 2005 as CFO,<br>responsible for managing 35-company investment portfolio across 8 countries<br>at a time of rapid international expansion.<br>Raman has a PhD from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.<br>He lives in Mumbai with his wife and children. In spare time, he loves running and<br>competing in triathlons.<br>
