Shri Praveen Kumar is an IAS Officer from 1987 batch of Tamil Nadu Cadre. He is presently working as Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Prior to this, he has handled various important positions in the State Government as well as in Central Government, where he was involved in Policy Formulation and Implementation of various Public Departments. Sh. Praveen Kumar has done his B.Tech and M.Tech in Metallurgy from IIT, Kanpur. Apart from this, he holds Post Graduate Diplomas in Business Administration and Public Administration.<br>
