Madhu Krishna works as a Deputy Director at Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She leads the foundation's initiative on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and manages a large portfolio at both national ministries and five focus states, with over 40 implementing partners.<br><br>Madhu Krishna has a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Delhi. She brings with her a diversity of experience in a wide range of fields including private, public and nonprofit sector work. <br><br>She has been a development professional for over 25 years. Before joining the foundation, Madhu Krishna worked for a number of organizations in the areas of maternal and child health, family planning and strategy formulation including PATH, FHI, Digital Green, Landesa, and Intra Health.<br>
