Prof. Prabhakaran Dorairaj, an internationally renowned cardiologist and epidemiologist is currently Vice President (Research and Policy) and Director and Head WHO collaborating centre at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control. He is also Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine., London, UK. He is Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) and The National Academy of Sciences in India. His cutting-edge research spans understanding the mechanistic pathways for the increased propensity of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) among Indians, developing low cost solutions for CVD through translational research and human resource development. He has more than 550 peer reviewed publications and 2 text books to his credit.
