Dr Amit Chandra is a social development professional with expertise in research and advocacy in public policy space. His work in the past has been deeply focused on school education, urban livelihoods, and governance. Amit has worked with the Delhi based think tank Centre for Civil Society (CCS) as ‘Associate Director’. He has also spent a year in Kabul working with The Asia Foundation (TAF) providing knowledge and technical support to the Ministry of Education, Afghanistan. Amit has played a crucial role in developing, strengthening, and scaling up National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA), the national federation of associations of low-cost private schools, as ‘National Coordinator’.
